Preet is officially closed.
It’s been more than a year since the San Francisco salon closed its doors for good.
Now, it’s on the verge of becoming a brand new beauty boutique, with its owner, former Playboy model Rupita Shah, moving in to the space and opening her own store.
Preet’s owner, Ruprita Shah, is moving in and opening up a new beauty brand, The New Preet.
Shah is the owner of Rupitabah Beauty Salon, a Los Angeles-based beauty boutique and salon.
Her former Playboy client list included Kate Moss, Kendall Jenner, Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, and other stars.
The business went under in September 2018 after Shah, who previously worked at the iconic Cosmo, found herself on the receiving end of allegations of sexual misconduct.
A few months later, Shah sued the magazine for defamation and demanded a retraction of the article.
The lawsuit was settled out of court.
The New York Times eventually published a story about Shah, but it was never published in print.
Last year, Shah was also sued by another former Playboy celebrity, Victoria Beckham.
She filed a $50 million lawsuit against the magazine.
Shah and Beckham also settled their lawsuit in January 2019.
On Thursday, Shah told the Associated Press that she plans to reopen the business after a year of rehab.
Shah’s business will focus on makeup, hair, and skin care, she said.
There will also be a makeup and nail salon, according to the Daily Beast.
