Ulta Beauty Salon, the UK’s second-largest cosmetics retailer, has opened a spa at its headquarters in Co Wicklow.
The facility, located at the Co Wickliffe Estate, is the latest in a series of spa-related ventures for the company, which has a huge presence in the US.
Ulta Beauty is the second-biggest cosmetics retailer in the world after Gillette, which is the world’s largest cosmetics maker.
The spa, which opened in May, is expected to be fully operational in the autumn.
According to a statement from the company’s head of business development, Anna Mardell, the spa will be “a fun and unique spa experience for the family and friends that visit the store”.
Mardell said Ulta has invested heavily in its U.S. presence, adding that “we are delighted to open a spa in the heart of our home turf in Co WK, Co Wickloe”.
“Ulta beauty has grown with the arrival of our first US store and we look forward to welcoming customers from across the country,” Marder said.
“This is the first time we have opened a U.K. store, and it is great to welcome Ulta to the UK, which we consider to be a great place to build a strong relationship with our customers.”
Ulta is already home to several other U.F.O. stores in the U.N.-designated safe zones in Ireland.
Its new spa in Co Meath will have its own entrance with a separate entrance from the other stores and a separate entry from Ulta’s other stores.
Another new U.R.I. store is planned for the Ullagh Road shopping centre, which will feature a “super-friendly” spa with an integrated bar and dining area.
In March, the company announced it was opening a new U-shaped beauty shop in the village of Clondalkin.
