More than a million people in Australia are expected to attend a beauty party this weekend.
The event, called the International Beauty Festival, is being held at Sydney’s Marina Beauty Salon on Saturday.
It’s not just about the glamorous glamour but also the everyday beauty tips that people can get from the event.
It all starts with a ‘party’ with your friends”It starts with getting dressed up for the day,” Marina owner Michelle Hodge told ABC Radio Sydney.
“You’re in a cute dress, your hair looks great, your nails are all done.
You go out and party.”
Ms Hodge said the event, which is free, is a great opportunity to celebrate with friends and family, and to take a selfie with your best friends.
“It’s just a chance for us to do a little thing, to celebrate our culture,” she said.
“We’ve got some lovely guests who have come from all over Australia to enjoy this day and they’re all lovely.”
Ms Dolan said there were also a lot of benefits to the event including free tickets to other events.
“I think it’s great for the community, I think it gives people something to look forward to,” she told ABC News Breakfast.
“And I think the people that come are happy to have some fun, because they’re getting a lot out of it.”
