Lotus Beauty salon signs deal with The Plaza in Charleston, South Carolina, to open the first of two new beauty stores in the state, The Charlotte Observer reported.
The store will open in the former Plaza Beauty and Spa in December.
Lotus Beauty salon is also in talks to open a new store in the South Carolina city of Charleston, where its current location is located, the paper said.
A statement from Lotus Beauty said the news is “the culmination of many years of research and work.”
The new store will also feature a spa, beauty and wellness, and fitness center.
“We have partnered with The New South, a premier brand that offers quality beauty and lifestyle services in a fun, family-friendly environment,” said a statement from The Plaza.
“We are thrilled to bring the Lotus Beauty brand to our new home in South Carolinas.”
Lotus was founded in 2011 by the former Miss South Carolina Sara Ries, who also ran the Miss Universe pageant.
She is survived by her daughter, Natalie, who is the company’s executive vice president and general manager.
In 2015, the South Carolinian government passed a law requiring stores to post signs advertising their health benefits.
